Saddle & Roam
Belt Bag
Belt Bag
100% full grain leather bags to help keep your cell phone with you in the saddle, at the barn, or around town. Each bag has a large pocket for your phone and a small zip pocket in the front for smaller things like a car key, lip balm, cards, and cash. The bags are made of vegetable-tanned leather which is renowned for its durability and natural beauty. The inevitable scratches, scuffs, and marks from your days at the barn will become part of the leather's story, adding to its charm, as it develops that supple lived-in feel of worn in boots and saddles.
The bag closure is a super strong magnetic snap that makes it easy to reach around and grab your phone with one hand - no more fussing with a zipper! There are two belt snaps on the back which will attach to any belt or strap that is 5 cm (2 inches) wide, and allow you to snap in between belt loops. All hardware on the bags are made of brass.
The Details
- Main pocket: 20 cm wide x 10.5 cm tall (8 inches x 4.25 inches)
- Belt loops: 5 cm (space to fit your belt between snap and top of loop) x 4 cm (2 inches x 1.6 inches)
- The bag will expand slightly as it breaks in, and the front pocket is built out a little bit so that it can accommodate items that are not perfectly flat.
- Bag closure is a very strong brass magnetic snap that does not open while riding, and will never lose its strength.
- Brass hardware
- The vegetable tanned leather is made using an ancient process used by only a few tanneries in the world. It takes quite a long time, and uses tree bark and plants to tan the hides, omitting much of the harmful chemicals found in chrome tanned leather (that makes up the bulk of the leather products on the market today). The leather used in Saddle & Roam products is sourced from tanneries that have a higher commitment to human and environmental welfare, and all of the leather is a by-product of the meat industry, thereby diverting it from landfills.
- Care details: just care for each bag the way you would your boots and saddle and you're good to go! Clean and using a damp sponge and some saddle soap. Condition with leather balm (we like Christian Lowe Leather Care products and Smith's All Natural Leather Balm). Note the leather will darken when you apply the balm.
